Fine hand coloured original antique twin Hemisphere World map which was published by Gabriel Bodenehr in the 1704 edition of Atlas Curieux .

A bold border and decorative title cartouche encloses this miniature map of the world. The double hemisphere includes the Island of California, a blank Northwest coast of North America,  and partial coastlines for Australia and New Zealand which appears in the western hemisphere.  Includes two smaller hemispheres on a polar projection, both of which are largely fanciful.
