Description
Nice vellum leaf from a French Book of Hours (Normandy), batarde, with initials illuminated in burnished gold and colored penwork decorations. The prettiest initial, the E, is the beginning of the Psalm 145: Exaltabo te dues.. Between the 2 columns of text there is a decoration with gold leaf and flowers. (This leaf is from the same book as 80773 in this auction but is more decorative.)
