Description
A beautiful leaf from a calendar, written on vellum in the North of France, around 1460.
The initials KL and the Sunday letters, the A?s, are decorated with gold leaf. At the top we find in French Marc a xxxi iour, la lune xxx.[ March has 31 days, the moon 30.]
The names of the ?ordinary? saints are in black, the more important one [ le nostre dame ? our lady, the Holy Virgin] in red, a so called red-letter day!!
