Description
Leaf on vellum from a French Book of Hours, written around 1470 in or near Rouen. The decoration on the recto and verso has flowers and leaves in bright colors and much gold. The flowers and leaves are as bright as they were 500 years ago!!!
There are two large initials in red, blue, white and gold. The text is written, in Latin, in a regular book hand, in two sizes, in brown ink. The text is from the Hours of the Virgin: Sancta maria.., Sancta dei genitrix.
