Leaf on vellum from a manuscript Book of Hours.

A beautiful decorated leaf with a large initial, within the capital D is a miniature of the crucifixion with Mary and John, standing beside the cross and Jerusalem in the background.
Around the text on the recto is a decoration of flowers and leaves with a sad woman rising from a cornucopia. The style reminds us of Maitre Francois, the famous manuscript 'producer' in Paris at the end of the 15th century!!!
