Description
Sea chart of the rade of St.Anne. Published in "Neptune Americo-Septentrional" at the time of the American Revolution. According to the title prepared by Antoine Sartine (1729-1801), then Minister of Marine (1774-1780), and a great moderniser of the French navy. Based on surveys by Boucher.
The title translates "This map was drawn from originals stored at the De´po^t des plans de la marine. Port Dauphin, St. Anne's harbour and Niganiche bay were surveyed in 1733 by Mr. Boucher, engineer to the King". The surveying of the entrance to Labrador was done in 1722 by Mr. de L'Etanduere.
The scale bar uses nautical miles and nautical leagues as units of measure and was compared with a secondary calculation by increment of latitude to determine the scale. With engraved seal of Depot General de la Marine.

Maps are shipped in solid tubes or flat between solid cardboard. Fully insured, signature required, and with online tracking. Shortly after shipment, you will get the tracking number by email.The standard is that we ship items by UPS or DHL for European destinations, and a flat shipping fee is added to each shipment. It is a one-time fee even if you buy multiple items. This fee covers shipping and insurance (up to the invoice amount) to:
- North America, Canada, Europe $ 30
- Asia $ 40
- For South America, Mauritius, Africa and Australia a shipping fee of $ 50 will be charged.
We charge only a one-time shipping fee if you have won 2 or more items.
