Description
Large colored lithograph from the series ,Isla de Cuba Pintoresca.
A splendid, large lithographed view of the city of Puerto-Principe, (now Camag³ey) as seen from the east (?), beautifully and warmly colored. The viewer is situated on a hill overlooking the cemetery, looking across the city to the San Pedro river (?) and the hills beyond it. Foliage and several figures appear in the foreground.
The view is surrounded by a linear border and has a short title in English (,General View of Puerto-Principe,) and French. The artist Leonardo Barañano and lithographer Eduardo Laplante (b. 1818) produced at least eight lithographs of Cuba in the present series, all in a matching style, though printed by at least three different printers. Pintura española, nos. 10-13, records only four and dates them all 1856. It does not record the present one, which clearly matches the others in format and style. The printer's address is given as Muralla 70, Havana.

Shipping
Maps are shipped in solid tubes or flat between solid cardboard. Fully insured, signature required, and with online tracking. Shortly after shipment, you will get the tracking number by email.The standard is that we ship items by UPS or DHL for European destinations, and a flat shipping fee is added to each shipment. It is a one-time fee even if you buy multiple items. This fee covers shipping and insurance (up to the invoice amount) to:
- North America, Canada, Europe $ 30
- Asia $ 40
- For South America, Mauritius, Africa and Australia a shipping fee of $ 50 will be charged.
We charge only a one-time shipping fee if you have won 2 or more items.
