Description
This most spectacular map, based on the Janssonius' map of the area. A wonderful cartouche adjacent to the title shows a long line of gods and natives bringing forth gifts for a British monarch (possibly George II). Below the cartouche is a large inset view of New York City ("Neu Jorck five Neu Amsterdam"). The wall after which Wall Street is named is visible in the right side of the view.
The map itself it nicely detailed with shows for the first time printed lines to distinguish between the boundaries of Massachusetts, New England, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. (Campbell, Chapter 8, in The Mapping of America). Many colonial towns and cities are noted and the inland areas are filled with various forms of wildlife. Boston in place of Briston (the fifth state replaces Briston with Boston).
State 3: the privilege has been added underneath the title.

Maps are shipped in solid tubes or flat between solid cardboard. Fully insured, signature required, and with online tracking. Shortly after shipment, you will get the tracking number by email.The standard is that we ship items by UPS or DHL for European destinations, and a flat shipping fee is added to each shipment. It is a one-time fee even if you buy multiple items. This fee covers shipping and insurance (up to the invoice amount) to:
- North America, Canada, Europe $ 30
- Asia $ 40
- For South America, Mauritius, Africa and Australia a shipping fee of $ 50 will be charged.
We charge only a one-time shipping fee if you have won 2 or more items.
