An attractive hand colored copper engraved map of the old Persian Empire, or modern-day Iran, published in 1719 in Leiden by Pieter van der Aa in the "Les Voyages du sieur Albert de Mandelslo".
The map has a lot of names and it is decorated with a cartouche picturing richly-dressed merchants and a small rose compass.
