GOA.

This southern oriented map depicts the Portuguese colony of Goa, which is situated on the west coast of India and was a key port of trade for merchants.
The map is very detailed with regards to the city landmarks, which are labeled with numbers and identified in a corresponding inset key. It is also not without decorative flourishes, the royal seal is printed on the left and the coastal region of the city is adorned with elephants and sailing ships.

There is a cartouche identifying 43 buildings and the plan includes the harbour full of ships, a royal seal, a small compass rose, and even two elephants working on the harbour.
