A set of maps of the north Pacific with Alaska, engraved by André. They are after the general map of the Northwest Coast from the atlas volume of the first French edition of Cook's third and final voyage.
The Aleutian Islands are shown in particular detail, while the entrance to the natural harbour of Nootka is displayed in an inset.

Rigobert Bonne (1727-1795 ) was one of the most important cartographers of the late 18th century. In 1773 he succeeded Jacques Bellin as Royal Cartographer to France.
